1. Mandate
The mandate of the Education and Undergraduate Affairs Committee is to increase the engagement of undergraduate students with the CSMB through offering events and information relevant to their educational and career development. In addition, the committee will seek to develop, promote, and advance molecular biosciences education across Canada.
2. Composition
One board members and at least four CSMB members at large.
3. Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Education and Undergraduate Affairs Committee will be as follows:
Host virtual events aimed at undergraduate students in molecular bioscience programs to facilitate information sharing and career development.
In conjunction with the President of the CSMB, handle all requests by undergraduate groups for funding from the CSMB
Work with the CSMB Conference Committee to have satellite meetings or sessions within the annual CSMB meetings devoted to matters of teaching molecular biosciences at the undergraduate level
