Postdoctoral researcher to work on Type IV pilus-mediated antibiotic uptake via DNA carriers – Simon Fraser University, Craig and Sen laboratories

The research groups of Lisa Craig and Dipankar Sen in the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry Department (MBB) at Simon Fraser University (SFU) seek a full-time postdoctoral researcher to work on Type IV pilus-mediated antibiotic uptake via DNA carriers. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology or a related field, with a background in either or both of protein or nucleic acid structure/biochemistry. Experience with chemical conjugation, combinatorial nucleic acid or protein libraries, and x-ray crystallography are assets. Strong communication skills are required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Expected start date of July 1st is negotiable and will depend on lab access related to the current pandemic
