CSMB Virtual Seminar – June 4 – Jennifer Mitchell and Charneal Dixon

The Canadian Society of Molecular Biosciences (CSMB) is continuing our virtual monthly seminar series to promote the research of Canadian scientists and trainees.
This seminar will take place this Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 at 9am PT/12pm ET. Please use the following link to register and receive a zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/99672076008
This month, we will hear from two speakers:
1. Dr. Jennifer Mitchell (University of Toronto) – “Finding function in the non-coding genome”
2. Dr. Charneal Dixon (Dalhousie University) – “Inhibiting ABHD17 proteins restores S-palmitoylation and membrane localization of some Crohn’s disease associated NOD2 mutants”
Going forward, seminars will be held on the first or second Tuesday of the month (9am PT/12pm ET) and will run from November 2023 through June 2024. Each seminar will include a 15-minute talk from a CSMB trainee and a 30-minute presentation from a PI highlighting their research.
