CSMB Virtual Seminar – April 2 – Sabri Rial and Zoe Gillepsie

The Canadian Society of Molecular Biosciences (CSMB) is continuing our virtual monthly seminar series to promote the research of Canadian scientists and trainees.

This month, we will hear from two speakers:
1. Dr. Sabri Rial (University of Montreal) – “The scaffold protein 14-3-3zeta and its interactome are required for expression of key adipogenic genes during the early stages of adipocyte differentiation”
2. Dr. Zoe Gillespie (University of Toronto) – “Sli-C: Adapting HiC to examine three-dimensional genome interactions in limited cell populations”
Going forward, seminars will be held on the first or second Tuesday of the month (9am PT/12pm ET) and will run from November 2023 through June 2024. Each seminar will include a 15-minute talk from a CSMB trainee and a 30-minute presentation from a PI highlighting their research.
